Richmond Refurbishment
Internal alterations to a ground level, 2BR solid brick 1920's apartment in Cremorne, Richmond.
Completed in 2009.
The client, an accomplished home cook wanted, first and foremost, to improve upon the dysfunctional kitchen layout and achieve the ability to be able to host dinner parties in the apartment.
The other priority was to upgrade the out-dated bathroom. The bedrooms remained completely untouched as part of the scope of this project. To achieve these goals meant structural changes on the ground floor of a solid-brick apartment building - not for the faint-hearted.
We removed the wall between the kitchen and living room, creating an open plan living space and simultaneously the apartment into 2 zones - living and sleeping. With a high attention to detail, the client completed the project with the builder alone, using our detailed design drawings.
