The space that was once perceived as enclosed, inward-focused, and somewhat subterranean has been transformed into a bright, expansive, and open environment that connects seamlessly with its surroundings. The design of the extension is articulated through a series of folding planes, with the roof rising gracefully toward the sky, extending beyond the building’s footprint to embrace the broader landscape. Thoughtfully considered angles in both the floor plan and elevation enhance the sense of space, while increased ceiling heights contribute to airy, voluminous living areas. The use of timber introduces warmth, while the dark cabinetry provides a sophisticated, calming contrast.
