When we enlisted Kate and Andrew’s help to design our extension, we were already expecting our first child.  We gave them the difficult task of designing our home and completing documentation within a short time frame, as the goal was to have works completed before the baby arrived.  We also needed to live in the home throughout the process of renovating.

 

Thankfully, Kate and Andrew were able to respond to this brief.  They provided a number of floor plans for us to consider within 48 hours, and we were highly impressed by the creative ideas they had, and the enthusiasm they displayed for their work.   After appointing Kate and Andrew, the design process moved very quickly and they never failed to meet tight deadlines when required. 

  

Once the renovation moved beyond the design phase, and into the building phase, we were continually noting the value that Kate and Andrew had added to our project.  Kate’s influence on the interior finishes had provided a wonderful feel throughout our home.  In addition to the aesthetic appeal of her interior finishes, we were delighted that Kate offered suggestions that would improve the functionality of our family home considerably. 

 

We have now been in our home for just over 2 years, and we could not be happier with the finished product.  We will not hesitate to use Kate and Andrew on our own building projects in the future, or to recommend their skills to friends and family.

After meeting a number of architects regarding our renovation project and not really clicking with them, when we met with Kate & Andrew we got the feeling they really understood our needs and what our house needed to deliver. What followed was an amazing proposal which had a fresh 'wow' factor, but was also sympathetic to the period heritage of the existing house, pragmatic working with the sloping site and was within our abilities to execute as owner-builders.
